Look of the Week: Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum was literally sparkling last Thursday April 7 at Elie Tahari's Bag Launch in New York City. All proceeds from the event went to Safe Horizon, a New York-based organization providing support to victims of domestic violence. Rossum wore the amazing gold Elie Tahari Francesca Metallic Pleated Skirt and other articles from the Spring collection. She is the newest member of the Elie Tahari handbag design team and celebrated the launch of her EMMY bag.

Look of the Week: Reese Witherspoon

 

Reese Witherspoon shined in Jason Wu at the 10th annual Avon Foundation For Women Gala in NYC this week.  The nude and black combo of the dress works perfectly with  Reese's black accessories and shimery jewels and hair.  This is such a flawless look!!

Trend Watch: Double Finger Rings

One of our favorite jewelery trends right now are the double finger rings.  You can wear a simple silver band for everyday or a gorgeous shimmery one for a night out. Either way its a trend that is a little unexpected and fun!

Lust vs Must: Clogs

We've been talking and thinking about clog mules since Karl Lagerfeld's Spring 2010 Chanel show.  One of the gorgeous pairs seen on the Chanel runway is definitely on our LUST list.  But for only $100 you can get a look alike pair from Aldo!  Happy shopping!

The newly single Rachel Bilson frequently tops our Look of the Week charts, and this week is no different.  She steps out in Los Angeles in a fresh and stylish ensemble: wide leg jeans, an off the shoulder striped tee and some dark shades.  We love this look!

This gorgeous Swarovski crystal and silver glove is just what we need to feel super edgy on a night out.  Unfortunately it is sold out right now on Net-a-porter (Philippe Audibert Glove) but we are hoping more come in soon!!

Whats new in Stores (week of August 9th)

Some new Culturistas favs in stores this week:  Steve Madden boyfriend inspired Oxfords, Diane Von Furstenburg Oversize Sweater, Urban Outfitters Cropped Sweater Tank, Michael Kors Leopard Clutch, Top Shop Chiffon and Sparkled dress and Marni Copper Leaf Earrings.

Designers are sending out there Pre-fall items.  These pieces will all be great as layered items as the weather starts to get cooler.  Lookout for Fall 2010 trends such as: Leopard Print, and Boyfriend inspired items.

Trend Watch: Clogs

Clogs have been on the Culturista radar since the Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 show.  Karl Lagerfeld showed country coquettes in a barnyard setting wearing almost exclusively clogs.  And we say it's about time they came back in fashion!  For some reason it just feels right.

Many stylish celebrities have already been spotted rocking the trend, such as Mary Kate Olsen, Rachel Bilson and Alexa Chung. 

There are tons of stores starting to sell clogs- so whether you choose to buy a designer pair like Marni or a more affordable option like Steve Madden you are sure to look like the fashiona you are!

Look of the Week: Blake Lively

Gossip Girl has been shooting their fourth season in Paris and there is no shortage of unbelievable couture. Blake Lively was seen on the set in a pair of of Suno wideleg pants which are magnifique. She is toting the Fendi Peekaboo Leather Tote and wearing Dries Van Norten booties. Can't wait to season what amazing looks the next season will bring. In the meantime, bravo Blake!

Newleywed singer Carrie Underwood was spotted at LAX July 11st en route to her honeymoon with new hubbie Mike Fischer. Carrie is glowing and is ready for Bora Bora in denim cutoffs, a light jersey cardigan, and ballet flats. She looks effortlessly put together and is showing off some great summer airport style.

Net-A-Porter announces Mr. Porter

The great people behind the uber-fashionable online retail store, Net-A-Porter announces the creation of the first global men’s wear on-line retail destination, Mr. Porter.   It will launch Spring/Summer 2011. There will be amazing designers partnering up with Mr. Porter for their launch such as: Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Lanvin, YSL, Rick Owens and more.   I know our fashionable male readers will be so excited about this one!
